If you're looking for a summer activity that isn't brunch, it's time to camp out at a festival that combines art and nature.
The Delridge Neighborhoods Development Association's Arts-in-Nature Festival comes back to Camp Long on Saturday, June 27, running 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is free.
Shannon Woodard, DNDA's interim executive director, accepted $7,500 this week at the bank's Junction location from branch representatives Andrew Tento and Bob Livingston. Woodard, who joined the DNDA board in 2015 and took the interim leadership role earlier this year, told the West Seattle Blog that the festival reflects the nonprofit's broader mission. "As well as providing affordable housing, we prove community," she said.
More than 30 artists will fill the 68-acre wooded park with live music, movement and storytelling performances, and immersive installations inside Camp Long's rustic cabins. DNDA calls the cabin pieces "Whispering Cabins," one-day installations tucked throughout the forest.

Confirmed programming includes a yoga workshop led by instructor Katey Peck from noon to 2 p.m., an interactive art activity building a topographical map of Delridge from recycled materials (noon to 4 p.m.), and sets from bands It's All Happening and I-90 Fiasco.
The festival has been running for more than 25 years. Its 20th edition ran in 2019, and the event paused during the pandemic. DNDA's Eventbrite listing describes the 2026 return as "a meaningful homecoming."
DNDA, headquartered at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in Delridge, operates 144 affordable housing units across West Seattle and runs free art and nature programs for BIPOC youth.
Camp Long is at 5200 35th Ave. SW. Free tickets are available on Eventbrite.
