The Mural Amphitheatre lawn at Seattle Center hosts a free screening of The Princess Bride on Friday, July 31, with a 40-foot outdoor screen framed by the Space Needle overhead.

Pre-show short films begin at 7 p.m.; the feature starts at dusk, around 9 p.m.

The screening is part of Movies at the Mural, a Friday-night series running through August 21 and presented by Prime Video.

Each week, short films by University of Washington Film & Video Production alumni and Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University students play before the main feature.

The Friday, July 31 event comes five days after a mass shooting at Seattle Center during the Bite of Seattle festival on Sunday, July 26, killed three people and injured at least four others including a 2-year-old.

The campus reopened under normal hours on Tuesday, July 28, and the screening remains listed as active on Seattle Center's official channels, including a Facebook post published Thursday, July 30.
